This UN guy became mumbling and incoherant and evasive when asked about negotiations (which is the UN's primary job). This is in contrast to how clear he was in answering the other questions. Something big time fishy is going on in Syria that is not being reported. Thus, we cannot make a logical and informed decision of which side to support (if any)

just read the comment you left and must say,i really do not know the context via which u left that comment, but one thing i know for fact is this, that demagogically megalomaniac Assad, triggered the current crisis in Syria.if from the onset,he had swallowed his pride and find ways and means of meeting the opposition half way rightly from the onset when demonstration against him started, all these madness going on in Syria would have had the chance of rearing its ugly head.sadly, the point of negotiation is over and that demagogically megalomaniac Assad, has to be taught a bloody lesson,if he thinks he can follow the footsteps his father by holding the aspirations of Syrians to ransom and go scout free.finally, personally speaking,if u really need someone to support with regards to the still raging Syrian crisis, then support the opposition as if when Assad and his henchmen succeeds, then the end of freedom and participatory democracy, comes to an end as other nations tyrannically dictatorial and demagogically megalomaniac leaders in other parts of the world, will take a cue from Assad's madness and kill the hopes and aspirations of their people.

The Great Syrian Revolution and the Hypocrisy of World´s and Rich Arab Gulf-Countries
Is it possible that the whole world in general and the rich Gulf countries in particular have nothing to offer except declarations and condemnations against this murderous regime of Assad who continuous to kill and slaughter women children and peaceful civilians with Russian war planes and helicopters and the world are watching. The rich gulf countries they only watch on TV how the brave Syrian people are slaughtered but send nothing more than really words nothing substantial to be counted for. The brave Syrian Army and the civilians would need medical help, food and anti-warplanes weapons that these countries can easily send to them instead of declarations and only talks in conferences in big nice air-conditioned halls while more than 2 million Syrians are being displaced and/or sent to the Jordan desert, Turkey or Lebanon.
While Russia and Iran send real weapons, war-planes and rockets to kill the civilians in Syria the whole world and the so-called Arab-league countries send only declarations. The ex-president of the Syrian National Assembly (Mr. Ghaliune) has declared that they have received in all some 15 million dollars from all rich Gulf countries: what a shame!...
The new formed Arab-Spring Countries have suggested (President of Tunisia Al-Marzouki) to send a peacekeeping forces from the Arab-league countries but they are not “interested”!...
We hear on the other hand of princes and Shaikhs from the these rich Gulf countries who buy for themselves private jet-planes and luxury yachts for hundreds of millions of dollars while see children and women being raped and killed by the Assad Syrian regular army and their Shabbiha or witness children in Yemen under all levels of poverty eating nothing but desert´s sands. The whole world seems to have lost all senses of humanity or consciousness or ethics. All the free thinking and peace loving people of this World need to do everything in their power to help and send all possible funds and medical help to support the Syrian civilians. But also those who can and in a position of power should try every possible way to send Assad and his generals together with Mr. Putin and Mr. Lavrov who are supporting him and assisting him in his crime against humanity by killing the great innocent people of Syria to the International world´s war-crimes Tribune.
