With Iran’s pledge of support for Syria and the revelation that Iranian hostages are being held by Syrian rebels, the threat of the Syrian conflict spreading is becoming more and more real.

Ali Soufan, is the former FBI counter-terrorism agent who was one of the first to sound the alarm on the connection between al Qaeda and 9/11. Now he is looking at factors that could allow Syria's civil war to spread in the region.

I see the two men don't grade or mention Obama after talking about all the other countries involved here. I grade him F for FAILURE and F for LEADERSHIP.
Obama has been out to lunch on this whole bloody mess and when the extremists start asserting themselves politically in this secular country, the USA has only itself to blame. So much empty talk from the USA, castrated by Russia and China. Very sad for everyone involved – except Iran.

Ali forgot the most important factor, which is the majority of the Syrian people support their president.
What about Al Qaeda in Syria from where did they sneak to syria and who is funding, supporting and arming them against the regime????
