Your Exellency, Happy Birthday To You, Sir. You Are The Oldest/Longest Serving African President. Congtatulations! However, embrace the OPTION of Pope Benedict and RETIRE by HANDING OVER POWER DEMOCRATICALLY TO YOUNGER & AMIABLE ONES/LEADERS. Thank You. (From Nigeria).

The Cameroonain president Paul Biya turned 80 this month and has been in power for over 30 yrs. Pls the same question should be asked to Biya – how many more birthdays as president? Mugabe shouldn't be the only focus of CNN

The hostility of the west in its quest for greed and corrupt practices of divide principle in Africa won't be long to disappear on that soil,as more and more African increasingly becoming aware the external distrust ,dislike, disguise to infiltrate Africa through her tribal differences. What about the conspiracy theory behind Patrice Lumumba the great Africa nationalist?that alone explain the hate of African unity among western burglars,it vindicate western interest to destabilize the continent ,the human lives of African does mean less value to international thieves and rogue.Shameless beast in human nature let Africa be.

Hey dude, you can keep your stink hole of a country. We were mostly just thinking you–as a human–might want to be treated as something better than the animal Mugabe views yoou as. Guess not. Go back to your cud now.

Robert Mugabe is an African dinosaur who wants to cling on to power until he passes away because he and his bogus and thieving ministers and entourage think that only they can rule the nation of Zimbabwe. Sir,i encourage you to announce next week your resignation and handover power to a younger generation before you go and lie somewhere in wait for Master DEATH to come and pick you up. Remember Sir,that this world we are living in,is not our home.We are just passing through it.Handover now,Mugabe!

The sad part of Mugabe is that he is right; whites have unfairly stolen, and kept, the land for generations. Yet, instead of having an outright revolution, he tried the democratic process, which does not seem to work for oppressed folks these days; just look at how the 1% have ruined America. I think if he were not so physically ugly, he might have done better. If whites would just leave the country, and give the blacks a chance at self-rule, then this country might stand a chance. Eventually, the whites will have to leave anyway; they have taken too much and not share the land. They will have to leave, no matter how "unfair" or mean Mugabe seems. Fact: The blacks love him, the whites hate him. Sounds a little like Obama! Funny :)

Wow. You might want to look this up. Magube led a full scale revolutionary war. Not sure why you think he tried a democratic process. Also there are almost no whites left in Zimbabwe and there are NONE in the political process. All land has been taken from whites. Zimbabwe has been under black rule since 1980, 33 years. Mugabe's rule. One man, one vote, one time...

This man is not in power as a result of free, legal and democratic elections. He is in power because of his own ego and the initimdation tactics and fear he places on his people. Happy Birthday, indeed.

Joe Jones, I think you are as equally blind and mentally retarded as Robert Mugabe himself. In fact,i believe that you are a racist. What are the achievements of this old guy since he came to power three decades ago? Don't you see how he ruined Zimbabwe? Do you not see how the average Zimbabwean is suffering under the rule of this tyrant?

We Africans are so messed upstairs no wonder we remain hewers of wood and collectors of water. A senile tyrant uses the subterfuge of land distribution to amass wealth for himself, obnoxious wife and lobotomized military and party apparatchiks while killing his own kith and kin and destroying a beautiful viable country bequeath by, yes, white colonialists, and we think that’s wonderful. Bravo Uncle Bob – you brilliantly threw the baby out with the bathwater, we applaud! And as a bonus you kicked Tony Blair in the groin – double bravo. Any outsider who has spent time in Zimbabwe, as I have, knows that unlike South Africa, Namibia, or even Kenya, land hunger among Blacks who need land has never been the issue. Most bankrupt are some African intellectuals and editors who from London or New York constantly praise Mugabe, knowing very well they themselves will not last a year in Zimbabwe were they to relocate there to practice the total freedom of press and expression they enjoy in the west. Pathetic souls.

Zimbabwe was destroyed by whites because Mugabe kicked the whites out. Get your facts straight africans! Democracy will just bring you slavery and robbery.

one man show one party ruling can have its merit and demerits if used the power in a better way there is hardly any resistance to be policies been implementated and vice versa a free and fair elections are the base and the prime of any electoral body to be selected for governence its indeed difficult if the country is large and more into poverty and in the line of development hope to see a better governance across countries and the prosper and grow....

That imbecile has been feasting on the blood of Zimbabweans for far too long. He eats blood that's why he doesn't die. . The International community should have hanged him a long time ago. It is quite disturbing to hear an African calling that man eater "His Exellence"all the morons who call him so should ask Zimbabweans how many black people that baboon killed.

I hate the White who partially castrated that pig. That's what makes him so arrogant and kills without mercy. If the mother of one stupid fool, who praises Mugabe, was cut with a bayonet and would have seen her bowels and the baby in the womb hanging out, the fool would have known what a cannibal Mugabe is.
