Amanpour will take all opportunities to try to discredit israel; however, the mere existence of this rap group of Arabs would not be allowed in any other Arab country and that they are allowed to freely and openly criticize the Israeli government, in itself is an amazing thing, taken for granted in that democracy. Meanwhile in Egypt, the satirist of the president is arrested, in Syria opposition is literally killed. There are too many parts of this piece that are rotton to the core; the other one that begs to be addressed is the attempt here to say that Jews have a lesser or no connection to this land. Sorry, simply not true.

Exactly, the Iranian Amanpour hates Israel and her reports over the years prove it. What a sorry excuse for an impartial journalist.

Right, never liked her, never will. she's all about israel bashing, yet will never stick up for the only true democracy in the middle east that allows these punks to do and say what they feel... shame on her.

Bob i, the fact is that israel stole palestinian lands!! and thats a historical fact your claims about them living in better Conditions then any other in the arabic world is un relevant and I am sure palestinians would gladly trade israel democracy for there freedom and for there lands.
what happen in the arabic world is ugly but it don't make the israeli occupation in anyway beautiful..

Sorry, Danny, I do not agree. Israel did NOT steal Arab lands. Before the Israeli War of Independence, hundreds of thousands of Arabs in present-day Israel heeded the call by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem to flee to the nearby Arab countries and join their armies, so that they could "push the Jews into the sea". This is a recorded fact, and was thus reported by the news media at the time. It is unfortunate that history is now being distorted and re-written.

I must add that the Palestinian lands were bought, not stolen. Since a Palestinian national movement never existed before the onset of Zionism (the Jewish national movement). The Palestinian people were not forcibly evicted from their land. ZIonists bought and developed the land. Palestinian Arabs left voluntarily in the hope of destroying the Zionist movement, which fortunately failed.

@ larry, you mean "Palestinian lands were bought" the way @ present time the jews zionists are buying, by killing the Palestinians, demolitioning Palestinian homes, destroying the Palestinians farms & uproothing the Palestinians olive trees, lemon threes. In international organizations books & on the international public eyes these acts are STEALING not buying. Who do you trying to lie to? Only the jewish zionists believe these rubbish, because they get material benefit from them.

IIf the Palestinians did not like the current arrangement they would NEGOTIATE A BETTER DEAL long ago. They would get peace and a sovereign independent state with not a single Jew alive within its borders...

It's unfortunate that the Palestinians prefer the war to continue instead, is not it?

The Zionists took land from the Palestinian peoples. They took their homes, villages, orchards, schools, mosques, cemeteries and destroyed them in order to convert the land to Jewish-only use in perpetuity.

The State of Israel has promoted the continuing theft in the occupied territories.

Of course, there was no State of Palestine. There was British Mandate Palestine. But the Zionists took land from the Palestinian peoples.

      Theft is theft.

The historical facts are that more than 700,000 Palestinians were forced off their land by Zionist death squads such as the Stern Gang and are continually removed by force by settlers and the Israeli legal system. Palestinians do not have more freedom under the Israeli government than Arabs in other countries. Hiphop in Arabic is flourishing in Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and elsewhere.

Historical facts? I believe I have rebutted your claim earlier. My source is from the new media at the time (Time. Newsweek for example). The "Stern Gang"'s main goal was to get the British out of Palestine. They, nor the Irgun, nor the Hagana, forced the Palestinians out. My uncle was a fighter in the Hagana, and, he said that the Arabs were in fact asked to stay, but they left en masse.

This concurs with what was reported at the time. They left on their own accord to heed the call of the Nazi sympathizer Haj Amin al-Husseini to join the neighboring armies, to "push the Jews into the sea".

While the settlers are encroaching into land internationally recognized as Palestinian, they certainly do not pose an existential threat to the Palestinians in the West Bank. If i am not mistaken, they take up 7% of the West bank territory, which can be replaced by contiguous land from pre-1967 Israel.

George... Do you REALLY believe that 700,000 Palestinians could be "forced off their land by Zionist death squads such as the Stern Gang" considering that the Stern Gang did not include more than a couple of hundred fighters? Further, if the Palestinians did not have more freedom under the Israeli government than Arabs in other countries ten WHY don't the Israeli Arabs move out to those Arab countries where they would have at least the same amount of freedom and would not be seen as "second rate citizens"? WHY millions of Arabs living today in the Arab countries would gladly sell their souls to devil for Israeli citizenship?

Zionism is the Jewish national movement to settle in their historical homeland for the goal of regaining their national sovereignty. May I ask how this is racist? The fact that two peoples lay claim to the same land doesn't make one of them racist.

First, there are far more self-defined nations in our world than there are states. Nobody has right to an ethnically pure state least of all in the homeland of the Palestinian peoples.

Second, Palestine is the historical homeland of the (multi-ethnic) Palestinian peoples. The world's Jews have had no right to the theft of Palestine.

Third, the establishment of an exclusionary state that dispossesses, concentrates, expels, and often outright kills another ethnic group is racist. Zionism is racist at its very foundation and no one ought to have been surprised that the Zionists established an apartheid state in 1948.

Wayne: "Nobody has right to an ethnically pure state least of all in the homeland of the Palestinian peoples." - Can you explain it to the Palestinian Arabs please. Somehow they insist that Palestine SHOULD become an ethnically pure state and this is the reason not a single Jew can be found alive in the (already ethnically pure) Palestinian-governed areas of the West Bank and Gaza.

"Palestine is the historical homeland of the (multi-ethnic) Palestinian peoples. The world's Jews have had no right to the theft of Palestine." - Considering that prior to 1948 the Jews were the second largest ethnic group in Palestine one should say that the world's Arabs have not right to the theft of Palestine... Especially considering that the Arabs already have 22 (twenty-two) Arab states in the area.

"...the establishment of an exclusionary state that dispossesses, concentrates, expels, and often outright kills another ethnic group is racist." - I fully agree. It is racist to establish an exclusionary Arab Palestinian state that dispossesses, concentrates, expels, and often outright kills another ethnic group (in this case, the Jews). The fact is that the number of Arabs living in Israel as full fledged citizens INCREASED EIGHT TIMES since 1948. The number o Jews living in the Arab states DECREASED BY 99 PERCENT during the same period. The number of Jews living in the Palestinian-controlled areas is EXACTLY ZERO.

      Islam = terrorism.

      Arabs = biogoted, ignorant racists.

Zionism (Zion) mentioned in the Old Testatment numerous times.

Guess your Haddith about "Here is the Jew, behind the tree ....come kill him" proves Islam is the ROP.

Boo hoo. Why don't they move to Palestine or Jordan or Lebanon? Because Israel is the only normal country in the middle east. Let them volunteer for national service and contribute something to the state before they complain. Jews of their age have to serve 3 years in the army while this 3 jokers pretend that they are rap singers

Sorry to burst your bubble, Danny, but these lands NEVER wer 'Palestinian' lands. They were part of the Ottoman Empire (Turkey) for at least 600 years prior to WWI and then they were part of the British Empire until 1948 when Israel was established.

Palestinians are neither Turks or Brits. They are Arabs.

Thinker 23 i don't think that you really think, it is clear to me that you are brained washed by the Zionist propaganda which most of it if not all of it is lies, Jews have Lived in peace in the Arabic world and in Palestine till there gangs started bombing Arab city's!! markets and hotels and yes if you didn't know that the Zionist are the one`s who started bombing Palestinians then again you are brain washed, so stop your propaganda and stop your Apartheid in Palestine because sooner or later Israel apartheid will fall. Dam thank you for your great job

Danny... As long as you can not show anything I've said to be untrue it will mean that (at least, to your best knowledge) everything I've said was nothing but the truth.

"...Jews have Lived in peace in the Arabic world and in Palestine..." - But of course, Danny! This is the ONLY reason 99% of them left the Arab countries at the first opportunity. What would you say about Israel if 99% of Israeli Arabs left?

"...the Zionist are the one`s who started bombing Palestinians ..." - Sure they did!. The Zionists started bombing Palestinians (who were unknown to the world until the late 1960s) and in response the Arabs massacred the Jews of Hebron and Jerusalem TWENTY YEARS EARLIER, in 1929 and 1930... Right?

"...stop your Apartheid in Palestine..."– It's up to the Palestinian Arabs to stop their apartheid. You see, ALL Israeli citizens have the very same equal rights regardless of their race, religion, ethnicity or gender and, therefore, there is no "apartheid" in Israel. On the other hand, the only Jews acceptable to Palestinians are DEAD ones and this is the reason not a single Jews alive can be found in the Palestinian-controlled areas of Gaza and the West Bank.

They admire a thug criminal like Tupac, so there's no surprise why they behave like him. The hatred for Israel they utter fails to recognize that they wouldn't be able to do the same against the governments of any of the arab territories without being thrown in prison. It is thanks to the Jewish State and it's laws that they have the freedom rap, keep that in mind.

You cared enough to post a comment on a thread about this courageous woman and the equally courageous young men she was reporting on. If you cared nothing about this issue, or her, or the rap group, you'd have not even bothered. You may not like her, or them, or the fact that Palestine has been illegally occupied for 65 years (and the United Nations agrees), but you obviously care.

Of course, any response by you will further prove my point. So, please, feel free to throw your little tantrum. I will be satisfied even more than I already am in the security of being right.

Hmm perhaps this guy isn't so crazy after all. Even thgouh I don't live in Israel, I'm all for it. Israel gets what it wants a purely Jewish state. And, the Arabs get what they want a purely Arab state.Let's face it, even with an agreement and truce and all that great stuff a two state solution will consist of two states agreeing to disagree while living relatively peacefully but remaining essentially enemies. It would be not unlike North and South Korea. They may hate each other but they live side by side with almost no violence. North Koreans don't go into South Korea and South Koreans don't go into the North. If everyone can agree to this we may finally have something!
