Pope Francis has a 13th-century name, but thanks to a Chicago man, he has a 21st-century domain.

Christiane Amanpour explains in the video above.

Don't know! The 13th century is said to be the most interesting among the medival philosophers, because of the wide range of controversies and the free-will, that changed the view about the human mind of the individual to its position to god! There was a broad view among the platonists and absolute theologists, that a free will doesn't really exists and man can't change its views and acting against the all-demanding God. But some had a much more moderate view, tried to link platonism and aristotelism in the way that even islamic influences in an inductive method to metaphysics were archived and the evidence of god could be debated in concrete scientific arguements. Henry of Ghent for example. For many god wasn't absolute and handling every step, but an unmoved mover somewhere in the astronomic world, which evidence was given through beauty and harmony, love and brilliance of intelligence.
Pope Francis and his 'gang' from the convent franciscan were seen as 'soldiers of god.' Their interpretation of science is questioned even by many who accepts the theological interpretation of some important new evidence. Science has nothing to do with fundamental claims – so education and health care needn't be filled up with claims out of confessions.
Mother Theresa in India gave injections with dirty needles – it is well known!
That what made the church in the early years of christianity so successful, is something that makes it so hard to get rid of now! A resistance out of a totall neglegtance to life from the deepest forms of thinking mixed with governmental power!
Many want to make their minds about the world themselves and about their neighbour, without an interpretation ready given by clerics and the hate they offer to non-believers.! Pope Francis was chosen because he had to repair the damage made under the reign of Ratzinger and Paul II. So it looks nice, but I personally prefer to wash my feet myself and have equal rights as a woman! Everybody should chose for himself, but – if you want to convince people – a mere media initiated show is not enought!
