When my kids were in grade school, the Taliban ruled Afghanistan. My kids were so upset that girls could not go to school there. Especially my daughter Renee, who was in special Ed. Today Renee still reads at a grade school level, but she can read medicine bottles, recipes, signs, directions, shopping lists, etc. Of course the more education the better, but to deny girls basic education, is a crime. How are you going to take care of your kids if you can't read a medicine bottle?
