Muslim Brotherhood: We aren't torching churches

August 21st, 2013

Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood is not responsible for the torching of Christian churches, Ahmed Kamal, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood's political wing, the Freedom and Justice Party, told CNN's Hala Gorani on Wednesday.

"We do not accept any accept any attack that is being subjected to any house of worship," Kamal said on the phone from Cairo, "whether that is for Muslims or for Christians."

Yes, it makes so much more sense that the military and the current interim government is the one that is torching churches and terrorizing Christians! Really??! The Egyptian government and the military are going the extra mile to bring down violence because if Egypt looks like it's in chaos then it looks like they don't have control over the situation and that there is civil war!! This will then give an excuse for the UN and the USA to go into Egypt to try to resolve the conflict!! No one benefits more from causing chaos and havoc in Egypt than the MB!!!

Next they will probably say that the Christians are the ones that went out and torched their own churches just so they can call the MB terrorists!! Unbelievable the extent they will go to.

Let us not accept the lies of the MB. They are the ones burning churches and wrecking havoc in Egypt.

If the Muslim Brotherhood are not actively calling for the burning of churches to be stopped, then they are complicit and may as well be supplying the gasoline.

It could be the Muslim Brotherhood, of course. Or it could be an undisciplined splinter group of MB - it only takes a few people and some gasoline to burn a building. Or it could be a radical group attempting to provoke all-out civil war, like when Al Qaeda in Iraq started bombing Shia mosques to provoke a civil war, which they hoped would unite Sunnis behind AQ.

If I were the MB, I would post a grandmother armed with hot coffee and baklava outside each church, 24 hours a day, to make absolutely clear which side I was on.

Whan you are a brainwashed fanatic, you invent a real fantastical stories to fit the program. This one of them.

The Ikhwan incited or violence against the Christians from Rabaa; this is a recorded fact and we need to think about questioning it. The arch terrorist Abdel Magid threatened the Christens in Upper Egypt with annihilation no less!

Everyday for 16 hours for more than 40 days; they told the brainwashed fanatics that the fight s about Islam and equating Moursi removal it attack against the Islam. If this is not a incitement and playing with the religious feeling of the simpletons, than what is?

Short and to the point. And to whoever is doubting this, ask the victims (the Christians) or the real Egyptians.

We did ask the Christians all over Egypt, and the answer is the same.they named people by name related to the Muslim brotherhood and some extremist affiliated with the Jehad salafies and some churches actually had surveillance systems that caught their faces. unless you are blind or brain washed, you will not ignore these facts.

There is no doubt that MB executed about 30 cops.
There is no doubt that MB killed kids off rooftops.
There is no doubt that MB is a Islamic Terrorist organization.

Are you still calling it a coup? didnt you get the memo? lol
Calling it a Military Coup, is pure insanity .Only foolish or blind that will ignore how 24 to 30 million go out in the streets to say NO to Morsi and his gang.who not only degraded and spoiled the life of 90 million Egyptians but also start selling and giving away parts of their country to others with no shame . you need to know sir that they were about to give away 40% of the Sinai Peninsula as a replacing home to Palestinian without going back to Egyptian people and another 700 square mile to Sudan which is controlled by the Muslim brotherhood of the country .the Military saw a very high chance that MB will shade more blood to stay in power and that's why they took the side of the people against a fascist group like MB ( and that's my friend is the real patriotism ) .

    Communist News Network,
Clinton News Network, Coward's News Network, Clearly Not News or my favorite, Al Jazeera for dummies....Why anyone would believe anything these ipeople report is astonishing. Most of what they do is for ratings and entertainment, remember Hollywood owns and runs western media. You will get more truth from watching Family Guy or the Simpsons then you will from this comedy channel. Let the blind lead the blind, eventually they all fall into a ditch, eventually. Amanpour you have NO credibility anymore, NONE. You have proved who you really are, thanks for making that clear.

As Egypt faces an uncertain future and a prospect of even civil war, the MB should introspect why it allowed its government to be displaced and the promise of such an aspirational revolution to be frittered away. It cannot be unaware of how the regional chips are stacked against it. There has always been space in Egypt's national life for the Coptic Christians and for a more enlightened practice of Islam than there is in neighbouring countries. That tradition should continue. The soil of the middle east is not naturally receptive to democracy taking root.

MB will not burn churches. May not be because it loves churches, but from day 1 they know that their only hope for retaining power is western democracies. They know how hostile and anti democratic their coreligionist rulers. So if they want to stay in power in an anti democratic land, they need western democracy's support. They know very well that they will not get that support if they move against churches!. Common sense tells that it was military who will benifit from church burning. It can be also by some radical muslim extremist since they will not miss any opportunity to conduct their form of Jehad...!. SO IT IS CLEAR EITHER MILITARY or EXTREMIST, NOT MB is behind this CRIME!........

Arabs are killing Arabs in Syria, Iraq, Yeman, Egypt, Libya, and everywhere. Muslims are killing Muslims in Afganistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Sudan, and everywhere. Arm them all to the teeth, give media coverage to the faction with the highest body count, and sit back and watch them burn the Arab world to the ground.

I am asking CNN. Is that what you could cover about this horrific tragedy ? posting a response from MB.since when a murderer confess his crime? MB lies as they breath and they will use the ( Taqeya ) lies to get them out of the situation.i think you guys need to reed more about the nature and culture of these people before you decide to be responsible for their comments. unless you believe that investing in terrorism is a growing business these days.

Thank you..... This is what we all suspected...... For brotherhood it is suicidal to torch churches. Don't forget also, during the last days of Mubarak, military even killed many Christians. Egyptians might have been successful to remove MB from power through protests. But their real problems lies ahead. Similar protests might not be enough for them to dethrone the current regime.

The burning of buildings, destruction of private property, calls for holly war, are all directed at the Christian people who are believers in Christ. the Muslims hate the Christians because they profess Jesus is the resurrected son of God! Which elevates him above Mohammed. Because of these differences in religion they hate and commit horrific acts in the name of their God! The leaders of all churches in the past and present have executed, imprisoned, tortured innocent people all over this planet. Humans are the cancer in this world and there seems to be no cure for the disease. No chemo therapy or magic pill will make all this evil go away. Everyone brainwashed by the leaders that preach death and destruction, are in no way holy or God like!
