By Mick Krever and Tom Cohen, CNN

Brussels, Belgium (CNN) - New Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says peace is possible if Russian President Vladimir Putin is in the right mood.

"Sometimes, the position of Mr. Putin is quite pragmatic, sometimes it is very emotional," Poroshenko told CNN's Christiane Amanpour on Thursday in an exclusive interview, his first broadcast interview since taking over as Ukraine's leader on June 7. "I just try to find out the time when he is more pragmatic than emotional."

He said negotiations with Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine would continue on Friday, the day his unilaterally declared cease-fire expires and the day that he also will sign a cooperation agreement with the European Union that sparked the crisis in his country.

Reasons why the Government in Kiev has no Credibility:
They are using cluster bombs, missiles, rockets, and artillery, targeting hospitals, orphanages, schools, apartments, housing, water supplies etc., so many civilians were killed! They do not have my support!

"Sometimes, the position of Mr. Putin is quite pragmatic, sometimes it is very emotional,""I just try to find out the time when he is more pragmatic than emotional." that is about Putin. What to expect from a man like him. You have an impression that a schizophrenic , psychopath is ruling Ruussia and the russians.

Russia raided the pensions of russian citizens to pay for stealing Crimea from Ukraine. Currently there is no plan to reimburse those pensions.

USA installed puppet Poroshenko uses Incendiaries to bomb Slaviansk civilian districts.

Using incendiaries like that in residential areas is a war crime.

Even Ukrainian reporters say 90% of the rebels have Ukrainian passports ans are Donbass locals. The rest are volunteers. Poroshenko is lying.

Before point fingers Russians should remember how cities and villages in Chechnya looked like after Russian army brought 'peace' to them. And how many civilians died, how many left their homes. It's not the first time that Russian propaganda is struggling with this specific kind of 'amnesia'.

You left so much out form the interview and let him off the hook as he tried to deflect attention or accept responsibility.

The Ukrainian Crisis can not be won by a military solution. The riots in Kyiv were the flash point that set off a serious of events in Ukraine. It undermined rule of law causing a loss of confidence. Radical Right sector forces have been allowed to act with impunity, The atrocities in Odessa and Mariupol must not be forgotten and those responsible MUST be held to account for their crimes against Humanity.

the black shirt unformed miliatia MUST be disbanded. teh State can not just gove them Uniforms and sanctions the killing and slaughter of citizens

Ms Amanpour is as always choosing facts that she mentions and completely ignores the ones that don't suit her agenda. What about all those civilians who've been killed by Ukrainian army, thousands had to flee Ukraine and became refugees. HOW CAN YOU SERIOUSLY CALL YOURSELF A JOURNALIST, Ms Amanpour? disgusting

Lier! And CNN is the best representative of the American LYING government. SHAME on you as journalists! There are REAL journalists from Russia and Europe dying in Ukraine because they went over there to find out the truth and share it with the world, and you sit comfortably in your chairs sipping coffee and inventing lies for the stupid public! Shame on you!

Why don't you, dear American public, not try and read this:

    or this:

There is plenty of unbiased information in the internet, first-hand information, about the real situation in Ukraine. How much longer are you people going to keep silent when your government is killing innocent people all over the world? What kind of democracy is that?
