The interview former British PM, Middle East envoy Tony Blair shared with Amanpour addressed the situation between the Israelis and Palestinians and said must be "credible" in order to achieve peace. Most viewers agreed and cheered for such response, while the minority felt Blair did not respond to “key questions.” Additional discussion was present regarding author and theologian, Karen Armstrong and the International Charter for Compassion. I always enjoy your reporting and am glad that you now have a Sunday show on CNN.
Last Sunday Mr. El Baradei referred to "the past fifty years" a couple of times when talking about Iran; you did not refer once to the events of 1953, making it sound as if all of the Iran / US problems began in 1979. That is the way most Americans think, as few have any knowledge whatever of our ousting of Mossadegh in 1953. I think that you do a disservice to the American people by reinforcing the widespread ignorance of our history with Iran during the Eisenhower / Dulles administration. The American intervention of 1953 is well known by all Iranians. Until that history is widely known in our country, too, most of our citizens will fail to grasp the basis of the dispute between our two nations.

- Amanpour is a great programme. Christine Amanpour's questioning almost hits the spot. For example todays programme which was about solving the worlds problems with 'compassion' only featured 2 religous persons and there was no one on the iopporiste side like Christopher Hitchins who could tell CA in a few words why there are problems in the world. Changing the way religion is presented to gullible people won't solve the problems of which it is the cause. Please, whenever religion is a subject have an opposition voice on the show.

yes that was a good interview, and Tony Blair was enfatic about the point of getting the nood of the EU Presidency, knowing personalities like the french President Sarcozie who may stall his chances of attaining the EU Leadership
He refused to answer the question thrice on EU presidency. Couldn't he just say the truth that he loves the notion of becoming the president? Too diplomatic.

He knows most of us want him to take up the EU presidency. I remember writing in this space that if someone wants to speak to Europe, Blair sounds like the most appropriate person for the job.
His intellect, his understanding of the workings of Europe's political machinery, add to that the great oratory power, all play to his advantage

I'm not surprised since Mr. Blair was summoned by the Pope to the Vatican. We all know that the EU and its Treaties are all a project of the Vatican to bring us back to the dark ages under a New World Order based on "Christian" ethics.
He could barely contain his giddiness at the idea... but he redirected the question to a very important point - that a peaceful resolution to the Palestinian/Israeli conflict is the most important matter facing the world today.

I saw the show tonight on Al Qaida and what the muslem in England said I see what happning in Spain! The answer for your Question what the MUSLEM world want, the answer was given by Israel many time. Same the Palestinian would like to wipe Israel. The muslem know if they will wipe Israel from the world map, then it will be more easy to make the rest of the world to be muslem by force.
