Obama need not b political just do what's right for the military..

Obama's in a VERY tough position b/c of the mess he inherited. Regardless of what he does he'll make someone unhappy. Ironically, his decision to go into Afghanistan will gain a lot of support from Republicans & alienate his own party.

From Kipling's 'The Man who would be King' set in “Kafiristan”:

"They’re a mixed lot, and it won’t help us to know the names of their tribes. The more tribes the more they’ll fight, and the better for us."

Lenin: He ended Russia's involvement in WWI, When it was clear that nothing good was coming out of it.

Dearest Amanpour!!! I have to tell you that I love the way you present your documentry and your shows!! it's really greata indeed and God bless you for that! But I got a question for you .. where are these talibans getting Arms?? Is there somebody somewhere helping them to get those arms to fight against the strong US and other NATO allies??pretty sure that they have some ways of getting the munition that they desperately need to fight .. but is the US anaware of that??? if the US knows that why dont they tell the truth about this ... why dont you surround them all and deprive them from getting those arms instead of conforonting them like President Clinton did in Iraq " no fly zone" simply by circling them you can finish them but I think there are some people somewhere who would like to continue the war. Otherwise let's know where the Talibans are getting those arms in the jungle where there is no means sof communication whatsoever!!

Well I know that he will try to drw from dear old Abe which is a wonderful thing but to rally the nation behind an unpopular war? Hmmm. FDR kept the nation behind him in our involvement in WWII. And Obama does relate to his communication style. I do love our Prez but I'm hard pressed to believe in our continuing there. Our men are so exhausted. We continually fight more battles than we have soldiers willing to do this.
