The interview with Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe caused controversy among the vast majority of viewers. Most expressed disappointment over Mugabe’s “arrogance and blatant lies” during the interview and noted his “resistance” to helping the country of Zimbabwe. Most had very strong adjectives for Mr. Mugabe that highlighted the indignation felt toward the “false promises” and “lack of action” he had expressed, according to the audience. Many viewers thanked Amanpour for a “great interview” and for holding Mugabe accountable, although “one thing was clear”, some stated, and that was that “Mugabe could not be trusted.”
Below, you will see some opinions from viewers like yourself:

Jolly well done with your interview of Mugabe this evening.
Your questions concerned real issues; and he squirmed like blazes to slither out of it. Even though he would not admit to any of his wrong-doings, your audience was left with the certainty that this man cannot be trusted or believed.
In the southern part of Africa the folks know very well who and what he is. The problem is that he is up 'close-and-personal' with many in the senior leadership; having each other by the 'short-and-curlies'. Each one knows the other's secrets, and nobody would talk; because this would ignite a fire on own turf.
There is one area which needs a measure of investigation, which could blow it all wide open. Over the past ten (or more) years I've often watched and listened to this man, with particular reference to his highly irrational and senseless statements. In it all I've seen a clear (and remarkable) resemblance (a carbon copy) of a man who had the world's attention 60 – 70 yrs ago, i.e., Adolf Hitler.
In the early 30's Hitler became a hero because he came through with amazing projects which created jobs for the German population, so that they could have a regular plate of food, when the rest of the world was starving. Therefore, it was no surprise that he became the Head of State of Germany. However, as time went by, a situation developed which was described in great detail in a documentary on Discovery or the History Channel (or the like). [You wouldn't have a problem tracking and locating that documentary]
Hitler started showing irrational behavioral patterns. His personal physician wrote to Hitlers aide de camp (I think it was Goebels) to inform him that Hitler suffered a certain disease which (if left untreated) attacks and causes damage to the spinal cord, and then moves-on to the brain. The physician stated that this caused the increasing irrational and senseless behaviour (and decision-making) and he predicted that by 1946 Hitler would go completely 'over-the-edge'. The rest is history, i.e., Hitler did not make it to 1946.
Question: Is there a Journalist/Reporter who would love to research President Mugabe's health record?
Best regards, and keep-up your great work.

He is hero to those who benefits from his worse form of governance, God have mercy on his soul
He is only taking back and refusing neo colonisation wats
In my eyes he is just stupid man and a mass murderer. Ideology doesn't bring peace and prosperity to anyone.
He is a disgrace to Democracy n to all Aficans.
A true African hero wont let children out on the streets. A true African hero wont let his own people run away from their homeland as refugees. A true African hero wont let starvation rip through his country by playing cheap political games. A true African hero would be reasonable and embrace all in his country not distinguish between people of different colour simply because they refuse your style of leadership or whatsoever. A true African hero are the likes of Nelson Mandela, Bishop Desmond tutu, Julius Nyerere, Kenyatta and others. Are you a true African hero? Mr Mugabe?different colour simply because they refuse your style of leadership or whatsoever. A true African hero are the likes of Nelson Mandela, Bishop Desmond tutu, Julius Nyerere, Kenyatta and others. Are you a true African hero? Mr Mugabe?

Christiane, I still feel you gave too much room to the discredited Zimbabwean President which he shamelessly exploited to some extent. His statements should be taken with “bucketful” of salt.
You could have been tougher as right from the beginning of the interview it became apparent that Robert Mugabe would not play “straight”.
Sayan.
I was priviledged to watch the interview and all his rants, intollerance and lies. Africa is full of fools like him and only the Sovereign God and the willingness of Africans to reject this type of impositor can deliver us.
To say the least, I was more than disappointed in Robert Mugabe.
If there are three powers fighting, why don't we add an fourth power to intermediate these conflict? We could send a country who apparently doesn't have interest in battle and it will hear them trying to understand the situation.
Eleven million people will die by starving if we don't make anything to help. Probably the problem isn't Mr. Mugabe but the two other forces that we want to harmonize it.
Let's have a look to the Positio Fraternitatis Rosae Crucis. In there we will find the answer. Is there any possibility that Mr. Mugabe is right or the three powers fighting are wrong, including Mr. Mugabe? The fourth Manifesto of the Rosicrucian Order brings an important view. Perhaps Mr. Mugabe knows something that he couldn' reveal to anyone. Is there any possibility that Mr. Hitler reborn again in other country?
Why don't we apply the "A arte da Guerra" from Mr. Sun Tzu?
I watched with keen interest Christiane Amanpour's interview of one of the African notorious despot, Robert Mugabe and all his rants, intollerance and lies was amazing to me. It was not strange because that is the characteristics of most despot in Africa. Anyway, my conclusion is that it is high time the Africans free themselves from the hands of devil re-incarnate like Mugabe. We cannot continue to wait for the Western World to free or adjudicate in our internal affairs.
One question, I may ask is that if a man says you should put your hands in the fire, would you as a sane person do it. Therefore, I am tired and fedup of people saying that the Africans were taught their evil deeds by the Western World. Let us sit down and reason and channel a way for forward moving.
The most elderstateman in Africa in person of Pa Nelson Mandela should be a rallying point for us and someone to be copied and emulate. It amuses me when the name of Bishop Desmond Tutu was mentioned by Amanpour, hear the despicable word Robert Mugabe uttered about this respectable man of God. Let us wait and see the end of Robert Mugabe.
Dear Christiana Manpour,
I am only a small Citicen from Switzerland. My thouth to write to You, is because I am concernd about the latest development in the Flight Arena.
The Nigerian Citicen was equiped with sufficient Pouder to blow up All the Pasengers in the Air, and may many more on the ground.

I like You to inform Your USA sufisticated investigation System, where the Poudercame from. Is it produced and distributed in Nigeria?
Since this Days, I do believe Nigeria is not only a 419`ner extremisten Country, but also a dangerous criminal Source.
Consequences to this effect is, to look at the strong tires with "Robert Mugabe" and other Criminal Dictators, wehre Nigerian Government is at present involved.
I like to thank You for Your exelent Presentations, and wisly executed Shows on CNN.

The decision of the special court of appeal was announced on Tuesday, January 15, and the President of the Republic publicly announced his confirmation on Thursday, January 17, and directed the execution of Al-Ustaz Mahmoud on Friday, January 18. Like the trial court, President Numeiri based his address to the nation on the theory of apostasy in Islamic Sharia law, without mentioning the offense by name, when he confirmed the conviction and sentence on all five accused. As for the other four accused, the President directed that they should have only three days to repent and recant or be executed on Sunday, January 20. As President Numeiri was making his confirmation address through national radio and television on the afternoon of Thursday, January 17, 1985, all security forces in the capital were put on full alert. While the police and state security personnel were rounding up Republicans for detention without charge, the armed forces were taking charge of security in and around the central prison in Khartoum North, where the execution was to take place the following morning. Paratroops were moved inside the prison, where a helicopter was kept overnight in order to remove the body after the execution. At dawn on Friday, the largest security operation ever undertaken around the prison was mounted, as authorities checked identities and closely observed the several hundred people who came to watch the public execution scheduled for ten that morning. When Al-Ustaz Mahmoud was brought up the stairs of the red steel gallows, the hood covering his face was removed for a few minutes. He is reported to have surveyed the crowd with a smile before the hood was replaced for the actual execution. Following the execution by hanging, the body was brought down, placed on a stretcher, and covered with an old blanket. Then it was taken to the helicopter, which immediately flew off to an unknown destination. Later it was reported that the body was buried in a shallow hole somewhere in the desert west of Omdurman. There are doubts now that even the men who carried out that bizarre operation can identify the spot where the body was left on that day.
I just watched SIU segment which aired on "The War Within". I was quite impressed with the open and frank discussion and examinations of the issues related to radicalization of Britain's youth. However, I was extremely puzzled by what I saw at the last part of the film during the interview of the "moderate" imam. As he sat thumbing through the pages of his pocket-sized quran, what appeared to be three arabic letters in bold red marker appeared on edges of the pages facing the camera. These letters at first appeared to be the letter "qaf" which closely resembles the number "6". The letter "qaf" was clearly written on the edges of the pages three times facing the camera, giving the appearance of the number "6 6 6". Could someone please explain this? Also, was the person being interviewed aware that the quran had been defaced in this manner? Thanks.
Could you have an interview with Tony Blair as a follow-up to that of November 18, 2009. In that interview he predicted that the 'peace negotiations' between Israel and Palestine would restart within a couple of weeks. Don't believe that happened.
Would be nice to have a follow up to balance the pro-blair advertising interview you gave on that date.
Hi Christiane,
Though i like you and your show personally and i am a regular watcher of your program but i would like to register my protest for the world map that you(or cnn) show in your program. Your map shows the entire Jammu and Kashmir region not part of India. I acknowledge that some part of J & K is disputed due to historical reason but in your todays show where your guest was describing the drug route of afganistan, the entire Jammu and Kashmir was shown as disputed and under China..China(???) for God sake give me a break here...Its insulting to any Indian.. Please correct it or you will loose one of your admirer for good.
Thanks & Regards

Ms. Amanpour: I have just watched your Sunday broadcast of your program about the female sex trade in India and Southeast Asia, as well as all over the world. You interviewed two activists in the area, leaders of groups trying to stop this cruel trade. Yet throughout this lengthy segment, you and your two guests spoke the word "men" only once!
You talked about families selling their daughters, etc. and about "eliminating " the sex trade through legislation and enforcement. But you NEVER said what had to be said: that the it wasn't just "pimps" who are promoted this trade, but the MEN who buy sex with girls as young as 7 years!!!!
Why can't you say MEN? What about Spitzer, Clinton, Edwards, etc.? Aren't they MEN? Do you EVER hear about women buying sex?????
As good as your programs usual are, this one was a failure.
You and your guests are cowards. Aren't most of the Indian legislators men? The police-in India and all over the world?? The purchasers of sex?
You are afraid to put the blame where it belongs: as long as ordinary men all over the world aim solely to satisfy sexual desires illegally, without pity or consideration for their victims, there will be no changes. Men have to want to stop this crime. Nothing will happen until they do.

Today I was watching one of your report on 'Women For Sale " In India. It is very sad to see that Indian Goverment dont see it all.
It make me so mad that people over there have no value of women. What i want to know Is there anything we can do to stop this non sense ? I want some answers from Indian Goverment , that why 12 year old kid is being sold ? Who ever is buying those lil kids for any wrong purposes those (basterds) need to be punished, and why they are not being punished. ( through legal channels)
Very very sad to see that this is happening in this world.
Sorry about my (frech)
Thanks

I was watching your show tonight on the English not wantin a mosque close to their neighborhood, frankly I agree that I would not want it
near my neighborhood either. The reason is until the Muslim community gets their house in order and they can not control those
who brainwash young men to kill innocent people I would not want to live near them. Yes, I would be afraid, why can't they ostracize those who have this jihadist mentality to kill anybody including their own
muslims, what is wrong with these muslims, can they not see the
problem. And you news people doing the interview, can you not tell them the reason why people do not want them around to kill us. Come on Christiane, you know that we Christians are not allowed in their country, they would kill us in a second. But this generous countries who ave allowed them to come and take advantage of the opportunities in the countries, what have this muslims done. Nothing, in fact, they sould point out the trouble makers and send them back to their countries. Why can't we say it like it is. I appreciate what this countries have done for them but have they shown any appreciation, maybe some have but they don't have the generous mentality of this other countries. Christiane, you should ask them the hard qestion, do they like the countries that they moved to if not go back to where they came from. Why expose themselves to people they don't like, in fact they hate this people who allowed them to have better lives.
I don't think it is fair to this people who opened up their doors to them
Ms. Amanpour

Dear Christiane,
It's normally not our doings to comment in broadcasted issues publically. We've changed the policy a little.
We're shocked about the way he (Mugabe) give answers to your questions. And, sometimes we're ask ourselves is he human or a reincarnation from a cruel past who (still) hasn't learned from that past? He clearly shows he is the second one.
Any measure from the west won't help to him out from power. He has already seek (material) support by the Chinese who even were in Zimbabwe to misbehave in 2008.
But, there something that still surprise us: nobody comes to the idea to bring Mugabe to the ICC for crimes against humanity. For us mass organizing brutalities by members of his own "party", organized public beating and men slaughter as well as persecution of anyone who's against Mugabe, is a crime against humanity.
The west did it already against the Sudanese ruler and the west should not make any exception to Mugabe and many other similar persons who ruhtles abuse the political world for their own benefits.
Hi Christiane
I think this whole debate, I mean the debate with Mugabe, is about the controversy between the right of humanitarian intervention and the state's sovereignty.
Now these all dictators have to recognize the fact that the sovereignty of a state is not an absolute value. The lifes of the citizens worths much more. But in any case this debate and this controversy will go on and involve more professionals in it. And I would like to know your understanding of the problem.
