On Wednesday, AMANPOUR. viewers commented on whether the United States should take strong military action against al Qaeda in Yemen.  Most agreed this was not a good idea and said it would not only be a repeat of the Iraq war, but also create more enemies for the United States.  It was suggested that dialogue may be one of the only options available.  Viewers were shocked to learn of the revelation that an Iranian security militia was ordered to tamper with Iran’s 2009 election.  The announcement was called “stunning” and “eye opening.”  What do you think about the possibility of U.S. military action in Yemen and the revelation about the 2009 elections in Iran? Please share your thoughts with us! In addition, if you missed the show go to http://www.cnn.com/amanpour for more information.

Should the U.S. take stronger military action against Al Qaeda in Yemen?

Mercy Kivanguli
I strongly disagree. If military action was to be taken they would be a repeat of Iraq resulting in an endless war and constant death of innocent Yemen civilians. Why not dialogue with the Yemen govt???

Lanre Bakare
Military action=violence=war. I see no reason for that, except u want to do a little more muscle flexing.

'Vincent' Chinenye Nwaka
US is just creating more enemies to themselves. Dialogue is only/best way. War on terror, is it a winnable war? Am asking.

A former member of Iran's Basij security militia discloses he was ordered to tamper with the 2009 elections in Iran:

Utterly stunning, Christiane, and quite eye opening. I agree with Steve. Thanks for continuing to raise that curtain. Such awareness is essential to change.

Steve Pakravan
Thx Christiane for all you are doing for our country and our people. I support you

America needs to take another strategy this time.if yemens water problem can be addressd and the problems of poverty and security
Can be solved the people of yemen would be in a position to fight al queda themselves and the mistakes of afghanistan will be avoided.america must learn that the nationals of these countries are the ones who
Can drive out al queda if they are properly empowered

The chain reaction of evil — wars producing more wars — must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation
    Martin Luther King, Jr.
3000 people lost their lives in the 9/11 attack, war on terror was lunch hundreds of thousands died as a result of the war , 3 trillion was spent , causalities are still increasing and more wars are breaking out, extremist network are still expanding, american intelligence cannot still gather information to protect an attack , doest it make the world a peaceful place or those it make the Americans safer, this a clear message to the world that war is a barbaric act and should have no place in a civilized society and should be abolished, let us all embrace dialogue as a means of settling our differences

Anybody who travelled in Yemen can tell you that Yemeni people are the most welcoming and kind-hearted people that you can ever meet in this planet. All this emphatic bad media publicity in the last days (including unfortunately the programs of Amanpour in CNN) don't do anything else than further harming the Yemeni people by destroying a significant source of income which is the tourism. I came back from Yemen 10 days ago and the situation is frustrating. Hotels are closing all over the country, small business in Sana'a are closing because of lack of tourists and a significant number of people in the tourist field remain without a job and cannot feed their families.
Needless to say that never anything bad happened to me in my trips in this beautiful country including my last trip 10 days ago. Sana'a is absolutely safe and the local people go out of their way to help foreigners visiting their country. And I had the same experience in every other place I visited around the country. Of course they may be dangerous areas that are not advised to visit because of the presence of extremists. But can you tell my one country that there are not dangerous areas for tourists? How many tourists dare to visit downtown Miami or Bronx or Harlem in US?
The recent coverage that you do for this country is totally one-sided and terroristic against the majority of the people of Yemen. Why don't you show a documentary on the great civilization, the history, the architecture etc of this unique country, or the real needs (and they are a lot) of its people? Unfortunately, the only think I have seen in your programs that was no "terrorfobic" in the last days was a short program by some illiterate reporter (I think his name was Baxton) sitting on top of the gate Baba Al Yemen and making stupid comments that obviously had nothing to do with culture or reality and who was asking local people for what they are using their jabijas!!!
    It’s a huge SHAME.
