Two conversations led the discussions among the Amanpour audience this weekend.  One was about the internal crisis the country of Venezuela encountered.   Confusion about the possible outcome was highlighted by most who expressed hopelessness.  The second discussion was about the podcast posted by Amanpour in Facebook that suggested the worthiness of de-listing “more” Taliban from international sanctions lists.  Some Taliban have already been de-listed.  While debate about this topic took place, the majority simply stated; “It’s too early to expect any positive outcome.”

Hamas is an acknowledged terrorist organization. If the assassinated Hamas leader was in Yemen and taken out with a preditor missile, would there be anyone complaining?

Comments on Taliban de-listed from international sanctions lists

It's too early to expect any positive outcome.

I am very optimistic about the civilized gesture. It is a move in the right direction. Use of deadly force alone could never have won the fight against terror. People of the world welcome any move that would lead to peace in Afghanistan, Iran, Palestine, Israel and elsewhere. Good job guys. Keep them on the table.

Doug Hall
The Taliban are a treacherous group of local militants. We need to work with everyone. You can't get somewhere by taking options off the table. We need to be cautious, but bold in our decisions.

Edogun Ogbemudia
It is better than not making a move, let keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Since the Israeli landmass lack strategic depth and surrounded by hostile neighbours, the Israeli Defence and Intelligence services do not hesitate to take extreme proactive steps for security of their nation.

Ms Amanpour you are a great commentator about the impacts of news around the world and how it can change an individual's views on every story that you relay to us thru CNN. You, Ms Amanpour can help the Filipinos decide this early on how they can choose their President by an interview of Benigno Aquino and Manny Villar. This is it, the country is at a point of no return and whoever will be the next President no matter how honest and sincere he is;He will really need the the total support of the whole nation.
The "CHANGE" has to be felt specially on the elective officials of congress, the Senators and Congressmen, because they need to throw away their selfishness and greediness and concentrate on how to make nation great again.
