Most of the Amanpour audience all over the world felt their local media “was not” reliable as a whole. Comments for the most part, reflected disappointment and discouragement toward the local media coverage in their country and many thought their reporting did not include all angles of the stories presented. Several viewers took this topic as an opportunity to show their appreciation for CNN and applauded their “unbiased broadcast”, the Amanpour show was among the most trusted shows according to these viewers. Lastly, some referred to the internet as the “most reliable” source because it kept people around the world abreast of situations the media “did not cover” in its entirety.

Comments about local media coverage of the war in Afghanistan
Salma Salah El Din Just another piece of news :(....I've to watch CNN 4 full coverage.......love u CNN
Deborah J. Boyd Well, in Washington, DC we really do not have much "local" press. I usually depend on PBS and CNN for serious coverage.
Nicole Jette Sarwar Seriously….. I have lost all faith in American Media. I trust you Christiane Amanpour – but you are my last hope for media in general. You ask the tough, real questions that are not based on ratings. Thank you for being you.
Lam Le It can be easy for the US local media to focus on National news which the American people can relate to quite quickly, but when will they boost their efforts in educating the masses on these critical international issues. At the same token, Americans also need to take responsibility to demand or seek more international coverage if they want it. I am not sure if we are ready to get past our reality tv shows to realize what is going on beyond our borders.
Okwesili Ndubisi I will thank CNN for her up to date news and Amanpour for her analysis on current global issues. In Nigeria, most local broadcasters rely heavly ön CNN and Aljazerra for their interntional news. But it will not take them more than 24 hours to report same.
Luqman Sulaiman We dont trust media.
Mulkah Adeyinka Adebayo The media in the United Kingdom is very biased. I thank God everyday for Jon Snow and The News Team At Channel 4:)

Christiane, can we expect one of your programs on Mossad? The dreaded (by terrorists) Israeli Intelligence Agency.
With the kind of contacts you have it is bound to be a ‘Blockbuster’ in sphere of interviews.
Sayan.
Whilst people living in Europe and large continents might not notice climate change.
We here in Mauritius, miles away from africa the largest land mass can notice that climate change has taken place and EXISTS at this moment.
Over the last five years the tracks of cyclones has changed dramatically.Whereas in the past they normally passed close or over the islands of Mauritius and Rodriges for the last five years thear track hads been Westerly passing to the North of the Islands..
My son and I ascribe this to the melting ice cap in Antartica cooling the sea temperature around the Islands to below 27.6 degrees the lowest sea temperature that cah sustain cyvlones.
My comment is concerning the Piers Morgan Show. It is the worst I've seen. This man needs to go back to his own country ant talk about their government and leave ours alone. He is certainly not unbiased. He is overbearing and constantly interupting. The only reason I watched for awhile tonight was because Dick Morris was on. Dick was fine, but was so rudely interupted so often during the interview, it was hard to get all that he was saying. It was down right irritating! I will never watch again for any reason. Piers, go back to Britain's got talent. I liked you then. You're out of your league here!
