Christiane, you should do a show based on the fact that Israel did the killing in Dubai. You are the ex-Israeli PM 5 times and he did the usual (and very legal thing) and didn't admit anything, what means "Israel did it".
Why do people think they will be innocent of killing if they just don't admit doing the crime?

The so called "Son of Hamas" is not only confused but mentally ill because he himself is misinformed. He has made claims to which he has no proof of and I strongly believe he is still an agent of Shin Bet. He has made himself an enemy of muslims because of his claims and has insulted Islam, radical islamists will make him pay with his life and I am glad he knows this.
As a Palestinian Muslim I could not understand or sympathise or relate to anyting Musab said. He is a confused person who choose a twisted path to reach some odd "fame" by stepping over his parents and peoples hearts and trust. My heart goes out to his parents who had to endure such pain and scandle from his actions and over exagurated claims. The release of the book will bring him temporary fame but I don't think anyone can respect someone like this. And as a Muslim I must say that he has no right to attack "God" this way and we are happy he has left the religion as we don't need screwed up people like this speaking in the name of Islam. I honestly and truly dont believe even the enemy can respect someone like Musab.

When Mosab Yousef characterizes what is happening in the Middle East by "their God" against our God and which God is the good God, he has fallen in the same trap of narrow mindedness that plagued the region with an insignificant difference of changing camps. "Mosab Hassan Yousef" can no more see the roots of the conflict, he's confused that he ignored the roots of the Palestinian Israeli conflict. He overlooked the fact that the conflict is over the land; not a religious conflict. Palestinians; Muslims or Christians or secular; both stands beside each other against the Israeli occupation. Mosab as he stated in the interview; as a Palestinian child; he had thrown stones over the occupation soldiers and defiantly Christen, Muslims & secular children where there with him.
The conflict is not related only to Muslims, its related to the Palestinians. Mosab got out of the prison with confused view of the Palestinian Israeli conflict. In my point of view; while in prison; Mosab thoughts was deceived by isreali intelligence (Shin Bet) and now he is used as a media weapon to push the conflict between the West and the Islamic world to new levels.
What am trying to clarify, even if Mosab disagree with Hammas policies, Mosab had helped an illegitimate OCCUPATION and helped no one else. What Mosab did got no one CLOSER TO PEACE.
It's amazing at how the rest of the world can tolerate rockets being fired into Israel on a daily basis by Hamas, and continual harassment by Hezbollah and a nuclear threat by Iran, and when someone gets killed and then Israel gets the blame as the usual suspect without the evidence.

Actually, watching the interview rendered me speechless! This young man's views are totally erroneous especially concerning Moslems and their God. What he said against Allah is blasphemy! He is totally free to convert to Christianity, but he has to get his facts right first. If he was in direct content with some Moslems who understand nothing about their religion, this shouldn't necessarily ensue that all Moslems are like that... What Mosab has said is outrageous! I will pray that God be with him, be it the Moslem or the Christian God because I don't think they are different!
I have been anticipating the release if this book and can not wait to see this interview. Kudos to you Mosab for your courage in exposing the true Islam and "Hamas". There will never be peace between the Israeli's and the Palestinians. I have studied the Muslim faith for over a year now and it is not a "peaceful" religion but one of pure hatred. For those who hate Israel and commit these atrocities against them....your day will come. As it says in the Bible in Ezekiel 28:24 "No longer will the people of Israel have malicious neighbors who are painful briers and sharp thorns. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign LORD." and Isaiah 10:17 says this "And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;".

I don't understand why Israel's hit on Dubai is a crime.
The guy was there to deliver weapons to Hamas – a terrorist organization that attack Palestinians to serve the agenda of others (I was there, and I saw it in my own eyes!).
I would treat Dubai's claims with a bit more respect if they were FAIR and not hypocrite – they should have, at least, condemn Hamas as well, for using their land to deliver weapons to terrorists.

Strong story and crazy that he comes out with the story like that but if that is the way he decided to save innocent Palestinian lives, then he's a Hero! He's an example for the new generation of Palestinians, not because he was a spy for Shin Bet!... But because he saved INNOCENT lives on BOTH sides!!! Christiane, I followed you for years in Israel, I made alyiah. Love israel but am back in Buenos Aires, my former city. So happy to find you again. I am thinking the same way as Yossi Melman, too many rosy stories have been told, no one was true. it is very difficult to change our minds. Facts will only convince us.
Christiane: I was struck by the incredulous tone of your questioning. Is it really so hard to believe that this man of conscience could work against the designs terrorists and suicide bombers? Is it really so hard to believe that he could see Israelis as anything but the amoral caricatures that European and Middle Eastern media portray them as?
To be honest, Mosab Yousef’s confession will be very difficult to comprehend by mere mortal minds, whether he is telling the truth or not should not be an issue of media debate but his conscience, what is important here are the conviction and the content of his ideology. He will certainly be called names. But let us remember that even Jesus was viewed in his time as been demon possessed, blasphemous, crazy, betrayer of his brothers and parents and so on. Mosab Yousef will not be an exception.
For me it is still a message and challenge to all, even the Christians and the Israelis who still take for granted the value of their heritage. “The first may become the last and the last may become the first” Those who have ears let them hear.
My advice to Mosab Yousef is to first congratulate him for this bold step that he has taken in life. It only takes one who has had a true encounter with God to do this, be honest with yourself, you can not deceive God.
Many are out there are still trapped in this serious spiritual and emotional conflict, but afraid to take up there destiny in there own hands. Second advice is that he should not condemn any body or any religion in the course of his Christian life because Christianity does not support that.
The journey that he has now chosen to undertake will not and I repeat be an easy one. Let him know that he will definitely face persecutions from all sides even from the so called Christians. But he should never give up, be strong, try your possible best to save other lives, go underground, avoid media, let Christ be your standard. I can assure you that you will never regret your action.
For the Muslim faithful, this is a challenge and now the time to prove to the entire world that Islam is truly the religion of peace that does not shed human blood, forgiveness, freedom of human right and of compassion as it has been preached, by their action and response to Mosab Yousef position.
The world is watching with keen interest, any action that they may take at this moment could impart either positively or negatively on someone as terrorism has now had in part on Mosab Yousef.

In the name of Islam Christianity and Judaism people kill. Musab is confused because these religions are the source of this. he is a different person that has his own culture, no one can tell what he is thinking till reading his book. Shin Bet turned against him and also the Palestinians and Muslims and I think what he did is logical because he doesn't know his enemy. All what he wanted is safety and peace that all the Palestinians and their children want.
I watched your interview with Mosab Yousef and I am sure that I speak for any self-respecting muslim and must say that I was filled with dismay and disgust at the unsubstantiated and cruel comments he made about Islam.

Regrettably Mr. Gerges' expertise is not on the Middle East but his hatered for Israel
Cutting right to the chase. I beleive that his experience is a template for what is going on in the Middle East. When he states that Hamas was torturing even their own in prison and the fact that Hamas "targets" civilians while Isreal goes out of their way to avoid any accidental civilian causalties, this to me reveals death and control on one side and life and freedom on the other. What did 911 look like. Target buildings that did no military work and housed a daycare center. We in turn spend Millions and our own blood to target just terrorists because with value and love the Life of Humans.

A person who sold his country and faith cannot be respected. Most of the praises come from Christians who of course are haters of Islam, but they definitely forgot that 99% of the wars in history were launched under the sign of the cross. All the british invasions of Africa, Asia, and USA... World War I and II, Vietnam War, Korean War, Iraq and Afghanistan War, Bosnia and Herzegovina genocide to name a few and latest. Now we see the hatred the christians have for islam which will regrettably lead to more extremist actions. If your faith is so peaceful why do you hold so much hatred to blacks, asians, muslims, and jews?

1. Fawzy Gerges has to be political about his comments therefore I felt he added nothing to your report.
2. Osama Hamdan has no choice but to repute everything because a was faced with the hard reality from a person from within.
3. The Israeli spy expert and journalist was stating the facts as they are. This is how the Israeli are being able to stop the terrorist acts is by knowing about them before hand and stopping them.
4. As far as Mosab I truly believe he thought long and hard about the God of Quran, the God of the Old Testament and the God of the Christian faith. Mosab saw a little difference between the first two Gods "Eye for Eye and tooth for tooth" and the Christian God who taught us to" love our ennemy" To any thinking person the later God is more like a God at least to me too. The contradiction in the Surahs of Quran are so evident and a muslim can believe in either side and based on this choice they could be extremist or not.

everyone needs his/her 15 minutes fame, the conflict in the region is not about religion, no matter what anyone is saying, the simple truth is that there is an occupation and there is a collective punishment is underway and carried daily by the Israeli army. While there is criticism of the assassination in Dubai, there seems to be a tolerance of the fatwas for killing Mosab, Rushdie, Wilder, etc. The muslim world has can't continue to ahve it both ways.

I am shocked to see CNN let this person be aired, as he used alot of language that is disturbing to 1.3 people all across the world. Islam is a religion of peace. The last atrocity I remember is the active genocide that still goes on in Gaza. CNN needs to be more discrete in who they decide to put on air. All this guy is bringing to the table is more hate !

The above observation made by George appears to be correct .

1.I am sorry that I couldn't post sooner but I do have a family and a profession to attend to. This conversation has been productive, or at least I think so. My intention is not to keep debating with anyone who doesn't agree with me but I do "care" to quote "truthand truthonly" to correct many of the false statements that you are posting. I am 100% sure that you are cutting and pasting comments off of Islam bashing websites and not from the actual Quran. I googled A couple of the key words that you mentioned and the exact quotes you have popped up in a few different place. Read the Quran if you want to really learn the truth and the truth only.
2.I urge you and others who really do want to learn that Islam is a peaceful religion by reading the SOURCE–the Quran and the ways of life of the Final Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Please do not ask anyone to explain people's intrepretations, even if is written by Muslims. You do not judge a car by a wreckless driver, you judge it by the source–the quality and making of the car itself.
3. You mentioned "jizyah"– If you are an American citizen or a citizen of other countries–Do you not have to pay taxes? What are those taxes for? Aren't they to cover police, hospitals, education,etc. Jizyah=Taxes
Jizyah was forced on non Muslims because Muslims already have a MANDATED OBLIGATION as one of the 5 pillars to pay ZAKAT each year to help their community and socitey (2.5% of income must be paid to help the poor and needy and constant "sadaqah" to community each year). Maybe it is you that needs to research the "Gospels of Barnabas" a little better. You are highly selective; and whether it was in ignorance or possibly deceit you seek to validate your position. In other words, you either do have the knowledge in regards to "the gospels of Barnabas" where it has been confirmed by many scholars that in a lot of key respects, it conforms to the Islamic interpretation of Christian origins and contradicts the New Testament teachings of Christianity. Hans Kueng, the dissident Catholic theologian from Switzerland, has accused Pope Benedict XVI of playing a role since 2001 in keeping sex-abuse claims against priests out of the public eye.
Kueng’s office confirmed on Wednesday remarks made in a Swiss television interview Sunday in which Kueng referred to a letter sent in May 2001 by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger to the world’s bishops.

“There was not a single man in the whole Catholic Church who knew more about the sex-abuse cases than him, because it was ex officio (part of his official role),” Kueng said. Ratzinger became pope in 2005.
“He can’t wag his finger at the bishops and say, you didn’t do enough. He gave the instruction himself, as head of the Congregation of Doctrine of the Faith, and repeated it as Pope,” Kueng said.
The Congregation’s chief investigator of priestly wrongdoing, Monsignor Charles Scicluna, who heads a staff of just nine, last week defended the Vatican, saying it had processed 3,000 cases after Ratzinger’s 2001 crackdown on wayward bishops.
Scicluna said bishops were never told to hide cases from the police, but merely to keep allegations private so that child victims were not harassed by gossip or hounded by the news media.
Kueng could not be reached Wednesday to explain why he considered the confidentiality since 2001 to be wrong.
Most other critics of the church say the main problem was the failure among many Catholic bishops right up to the 1980s to properly investigate sex-abuse claims and report them to the police and the Vatican.

Barone, do you agree that the perfect all knowing ultimate authority God will only need to employ one version of His teachings. All other versions then must be aberrations of the truth. Very understandable development since God still allow His antithesis to operate for this while until the second coming of His Son Jesus (for you Mohammad?). Already a cardinal contradiction exists that must surely give rise to the contention that the Bible and quran cannot be both true. To promote that they are is already an attempt to mislead.
Remember, in exposing a counterfeit or imitation, all you need is to expose one facet that is not genuine is enough. A counterfeit note can have genuine paper, ink and etc. but the moment it doesn't have, say, the watermark it is a fake.
What will be the pitch of those promoting counterfeit notes?Emphasizing all are the same or only one is genuine? What will be their fear? Promoting awareness that there are counterfeit notes? Just as there is but one sun, one earth, one biological parent, etc. there is but one and only one true Creator God. Such a God can only be all perfect, all knowing and all powerful and will only issue one set of laws and teachings. Otherwise he would show himself as being not perfect, not all knowing, and, hence, not all powerful and a poor imitation of God the Creator at best. Agee or disagree?
So can all religious teachings, expecially with so much contradictions, be from God the Creator?
Truth, being one and only one version, can withstand any scrutiny. Agree or disagree?
Between one who seeks open comparison of teachings and one who fears and condemns such practice, who do you think would be the pursuer or keeper of truth?
Remember, true believers of God the Creator don't need to defend Him for the all powerful God doesn't need defending or else He is no God. True believers of God also don't need to condemn those who insult, denigrate or disparage Him for such people do so at their own peril. The Bible says Jesus rose from the dead (the Easter season is to remind Christians of this) while the Quran says otherwise i.e. Jesus death was faked as someone had substituted him. Can the Bible and Quran both be the word of God? If not, then which is and which is not? Truth seekers would say 'discuss and find out' but the lie mongerers and lovers would never do so for obvious reason.
Let those ignorant know why Christians believe the Bible? The Bible recorded many witnesses of Jesus' resurrection. There was one such man called Saul, a highly learned and prominent Jew (held Roman citizenship and, therefore, enjoyed high status and privileges). Saul started off as an ardent hater of Christianity and was all out to persecute and punish them with death. He had an encounter with Jesus when Jesus was supposed to be dead. That encounter so convinced him about the reality of Jesus' resurrection that he felt no choice but to become a Christian (Saul's name was changed to Paul after this) and be prepared to lose everything including his life to preach the gospel message. This irrefutable proof hit home not only to Jesus's disciples and Paul but to all since who sought truth. Mosab, like Paul, finally saw light and know that the gospel truth had set him free.
Yeah, truthandtruthonly, the silence of Muslim apologists and clerics is deafening. Am hoping that Barone, with a little common sense and soul searching heart, do a Paul or Mosab so as free those billions from the clutches of the greatest deceiver.

Do you agree that God of all creation needs to give only one set of laws and teaching? Do you agree that among all the contradicting religions, one is God inspired and the rest Satan inspired or man concocted? Among all the religions which do you think is God inspired? The Bible teaches that God created man and woman in his image for His pleasure. Don't artists and sculptors create objects for their pleasure? What is the highest form of pleasure to God?
