You're the liar: that 10-month "freeze" was a fig leaf to cover continued work (building) within the illegal settlements. And the Zionists had no intention of "building" on any momentum that might - just might - have ensued from the "freeze" had they complied with its intent of establishing credibility and momentum - as amply evidenced by the frenzy of illegal activity ever since, for three more years. Just days ago, the Zionist state announced another 3,500 or so new housing starts - all illegal, all provocative, all hewing to the Zionist line of total domination and control over the land that was thieved from the native Palestinian Jews, Christians and Muslims (the culmination of the thievery being UN General Assembly Resolution 181 in November, 1947). Forget your Ziospin: it doesn't work in the light of any reasonable, objective analysis of the torment meted out to the victimized Palestinians.

first of all,the freeze was implemented and netanyahu didn't build a single settlement for 10 months, but abbas never made any approach.
secondly, the houses were built to appease settlers after israel destroyed an entire bloc that was built on palestinian private land.
thirdly, palestinians are by no means native to the west bank.
before you write such a hateful, biased comment, check your facts. you write from your heart, not from your logic.

sadly, Hanan is absolutely correct and so is Robert. The continued construction and planning of settlements is a steady feature of israeli life. What perhaps is more shocking is the forced removal of palestinian families from long occupied homes in east jerusalem and the subsequent celebrations given by our right wing ministers. It is a disgrace to this nation that came into being after so many jews and others suffered the horrors of the second world war.
