No George. My Islam, the religion I follow and the book i read (The Quran) does not instruct the followers of Islam to kill "innocent" women and children or men anywhere in the world. It doesn't matter if they're Muslims, Jews, Christians or Hindus. It is wrong to kill innocent people that is why we are not in favour of terrorism and all matters should be solved on the table. But it is also really unfortunate that the western world portrays all Muslims as bad people and the media always highlights the negatives.

This is an interesting piece on Islam in the western world AND in Iran and Iraq. It was new for me to see that Muslims are still misunderstood in the western world. I knew that a lot of them were stereotyped after 9/11 (twin towers incident), but I didn't realize that they are still discriminated against even now. It was interesting to learn about Sayyid Qutb and look at America and the western world from his perspective, and see how thriving materialism is making it waste away. I think I agree that the West is becoming too materialistic.
I learnt why normal Muslims might want to turn radical. For some, it was because they didn't have guidance from their parents. I realized that radicals aren't always bad people. Sometimes, things go wrong and they don't exactly tell the people about their religion in the way they wanted to. I think that Muslims are just trying to be understood and make people understand their religion, rather than terrorize people like America is thinking that they do. I think that it must have been hard for Muslims to adjust to living in a Christian-dominated area and that Westerners should give them some credit for achieving that.
Overall, I think this was a very informative clip about current events and I learnt a lot about Islam, a religion I didn't know much about before, and what it means to be a Muslim.
