I'd like those claiming that the settlements are "an objective to peace" to answer the following simple question: If tomorrow Israel will remove ALL settlements, ALL military bases, ALL checkposts and will withdraw to the cease fire lines of 1949 - WILL THERE BE PEACE?

If the answer is NO then it means that the settlements are IRRELEVANT to peace for the simple reason there will be no peace with settlements or without settlements.

let ask u , in 1947 what was the name of this land "isreal"

@Mustafa – it was named British Mandate Palestine and those semantics are completely irrelevant to the discussion – both Testaments (Old and New) and the Quran, all pre-dating 1947, refer to it as Israel.

New York used to be called New Amsterdam.. maybe that should also be reclaimed by the Dutch?

God is not proved by Science. It is just a Faith. We call a positive belief as Faith and a negative belief as a doubt.
When God is just a Faith, is it not laughable to say only my Faith is right ? People who are born in a family with a particular faith follows it and believes it. If the same person is born in a family of another faith ,his Faith and beliefs will be different. Thatz all.
Time for everbody to get some peace and not kill and get killed in the name of Mr.God who seems to sit in a some far away land in a cushy seat in every Faith.

history !! it's just like you asking me What makes the land of egypt an exclusive property of the Arabs? or britain to the english " british " the middle east was called " arabia " for a reason , where arabs lived and still living whether they're muslims christian or jewish but don't till me that the europian immigrant who flooded palestine in the 1930's were going to their property !! in the 1920's the arabs were 3 time more the jewish and still it's not their land ???

Mustafa... The land of Egypt belongs to EGYPTIANS. Not all Egyptians are Arabs. Further, if you believe that ALL of Palestine belonged ONLY to the Arabs because the Arabs were a majority in Palestine 70 years ago you may use the same argument considering that TODAY the majority in Palestine are JEWS.

And IF THE ANSWR IS YES, then it shows that the arabs are not irrational and are genuinely fed up off Israel's apartheid policies.

No, it was not. This land was called Palestine. Does it make it an exclusive property of the Arabs, in your opinion?

People called 'Palestinians' were UNKNOWN TO THE WORLD prior to the late 1960s. The last Ottoman population census of 1920 listed many different ethnic groups living in Palestine at that time. These groups included Arabs, Jews, Druzes, Cherkesses, Armenians, even Russians... but NO PALESTINIANS. The first official definition of 'Palestinians' was given by the Palestinian Charter of 1968 and it said that 'Palestinians' were... ARABS. Therefore, your claim about "people called palestinians who lived there long before isreal" is FALSE and I'm asking you again: What makes the land of Palestine an exclusive property of the Arabs?

you need to spend a bit more time thinking

Palestinians Filistins Philistines are all in the bible and their land was Palestine and no amount of zionist propaganda and lying will ever change that FACT!

Joe... The Philistines of the Bible have very little in common with the Palestinians of today. They had different language, different religion, different culture... Besides, the ancient Philistines were CRETEANS (Greeks) while today's Palestinians are Arabs. Palestinians have as much in common with Philistines as today's Egyptians have with the guys who built the pyramids.

Mustafa... Not all Egyptians are Arabs. The non-Arab minorities in Egypt are Nubians, Berbers, Bedouins, Beja and Dom. Further, about 90% of Israeli Jews were born in Israel or came from the neighboring Arab countries. Still further, you did not explain WHY the land of Palestine belongs ONLY to the Arabs considering (according to YOU) that Jews lived there long ago. I'm waiting...

By the way, if I were you I would be embarrassed by the fact that every claim you've made was proven to be false (Palestinians are Philistines, all Egyptians are Arabs, Egypt is an exclusive property of Arabs, etc.)

first if Nubians aren't arabs then the Sudanese aren't arabs because that were they came from , Nubians, Berbers, Bedouins these names are description not nationality , Bedouins we call them that because they live in the desert in tents that what it mean in arabic البدو the shepherd who live with his flocks of sheep , look it up, berbers are the people of North Africa from libya to Mauritania and they are obviously arabs , the Beja are nomadic people . jewish is a religion not a nationality so when you tell me that palestin is for the jewish people you turn it from a religion to a nationality , therefore any jewish can reclaim palestin as his homeland no matter who this land belongs to , if you are jewish then you own a land in isreal , don't look at isreal as a jewish state , leave religion out of it , look at it as a state that was built by taking the land of others it's textbook Colonialism , first there was the jewish Immigrants making colonies they expand wanting more land the un split it into two nations with the refusal of the arabs ,war broke , isreal armed with the best occupied more land and then in 67 the occupied more land illegally like the colonies in the west bank , the syrian Golan Heights and saini if egypt didn't won it back in 73 . basic facts

Musftafa... The Arabs came from Arabia, not from Africa. Further, if you believe that the Jews are a religion you should have no troubles to tell us if Karl Marx (the founder of Communism) was a Jew. Was he?

Mustafa... The land of Israel belongs to Israelis exactly the same way the land of Egypt belongs to Egyptians. If the Palestinians will decide some day to have a state of their own the land within the borders of this still non-existing state will belong to ALL citizens of the Palestinian state, even if some of them will happen to be non-Arabs.

i really don't know much about him or whether he was jewish or not , and how is that relevant < all i know that he was a philosopher from germany,................. and if Judaism isn't a religion what is it ?????!!!
i agree with you arabs came from arabia but as you know humanity expands they seek new lands , any nation that speaks arab is an arab country unlike any other language because beeing an arab isn't about the language or the ethnicity it self it's about a civilization , a cuture, a way of life..........! yes no one would mind a jewish presence in palestin like the christians < the issue here is turnning it into a jewish , hebrew state which in the orgin isn't palestin is and always be an arab country , you don,t see the palestinian christians speaking in aramaic

I know this discussion was a long time ago, but I just had to say something.
The amount of ignorance and misinformation that resides in some of the comments is staggering. Race and ethnicity are really social aspects.
Yes, genetic studies say that the most important predictor of common ancestry is language and that is why you can say that Arabs share in a lot of aspects genetic ancestry. Not to be confused with religion, since an arab can be a Muslim, a christian or a Jew- called Safardim a minority in Israel that is systematically discriminated against.

Secondly, instead of using the Torah or the bible where there is clear mention of Felisitn, let's just look at historical evidence of the presence of modern Palestinians on this land for thousands of years, and the mention of how they were Greek is ludicrous! Most of the region at that time spoke and dresses like Greeks since they occupied the region and had huge influence and were influenced as well even after the roman empire took over, e.g. Hellenistic civilization in Egypt were there was a merger of language, religion, customs,.etc.
And speaking of Egypt, modern Egyptians are genetically a mixture of 9% African and 91 % white and are share almost 99.7% of the genes of ancient Egyptians and majority identify themselves as Arabs and all speak Arabic. Presence of small "ethnic", "racial" and religious minorities in most Arab countries to date is only a testament of the amount of openness and tolerance this region enjoyed for centuries towards all those groups including Jews. This is untill imperialistic powers decided to create an apartheid state in the middle of a region that they divided by artificial lines made only to cause conflict and distress post world war I.
It is utterly heart breaking how much our ignorance has allowed our politicians to make us conspirators in this injustice and misery and death of millions of people.
