CNN's Christiane Amanpour asks an anti-Morsy protester if he and his fellow demonstrators are ready to accept power returning to Egypt's military if President Mohamed Morsy goes.

they seem to be. They are happy to have an ally. Morsi is digging his heels. Not a positive move.
They are better off with the military or a dictator. Atleast the country will remain intact.

YES, all Egyptians are very happy seeing the military back. Only the blind can’t see that. Watch worldwide TV Channels and you will see millions and millions of true Egyptians with their smiles back on their faces. Only his supporters are not happy but they are maximum 300 Thousand and they don’t even honour the Egyptian flag, watch Rabaa Adaweya area where you will see black flags of Kaeda, green of Saudi Arabia and of Moslem Brotherhood. On a TV interview supporters of ousted president threatened all Egyptians to bomb cars and trains if the people will demonstrate against him OMG.
I do not accept CNN using the word COUP at this stage. Ousted president Morsi lost all legitimacy since last November where many young people were killed at the gate of his palace and he never regretted or apologized for that, later many awful things happened to Egyptians and you were always seeing that. He never won the respect of the Egyptians. We never saw him as a president as he never acted as one. The youth of Egypt demonstrated against him on 30 June 2013 all all Egyptians supported them in an extremely well organized countrywide demonstration google and others counted them as approx. 30 million and the Egyptian Military HAD to honour these demonstrations. So sorry that President Obama cannot see that this is true democracy, We Egyptians are waiting to hear Obama’s support to the Egyptian People and not to traitors and terrorists.

To all my non-Egyptian friends, if you hear or watch any news saying this is a military coup, take it from an Egyptian, it is NOT! Up to 33 million free Egyptians have been demonstrating peacefully to oust the tyrant Morsi and the fascist regime of the Muslim Brotherhood. No external force or influence drove this but the free will of true Egyptian youth, who again have rewritten history. I have never been more proud.

I am an Egyptian, I was one of those who voted for Dr. Mohamed Morsy in presidency election to prevent the reproduction of the old regime via their candidate Dr. Ahmed Shafiq. Later on we discovered that Dr. Morsy didn't achieve his promises for justice , equality and freedom along with his bad selection of unqualified responsible to run the daily activities of the country.
Presidency was a contract between the peoples in Egypt and their president but he didn't implemented promises. My believe that he deserve what happened as a final result, BUT the method which used through a military coup is quite enough for me to feel ashame , I am not feel proud with it, these kind of military coups not happened in Egypt along with 61 years , yet again it appears back to remind us that we're still long away of the real democracy.

Actually yes. We are so happy as this is not a military Coup. We , the Egyptians, wanted this and the Military forces had no other way except to demonstrate our will. Now, we are looking forward having a democratic country with no Terrorism and no parties discard. We all want to Re-build our Egypt in a civilized way with no discrimination against anyone regardless of this look, thought or his opinion.

This is a military coup in the most gruesome way. Morsi is an elected president. Elbaradie is rejected by most Egyptians; this is why he never ran for president or even a parliamentarian. The coup coalition consisting of the ex-regime remnants and some liberals and communists is starting to fall!

This coup is highly questionable. It looks more like a conspiracy than a truly people-driven revolt against Mursi. Why is a civilian president whose record is much cleaner over a whole year than the record of the military in one week still detained in an unidentified place? If the military is afraid of his freedom then sure there is reason to think the current situation an epitome of illegitimacy.

On Monday, 9 July, 52 pro-Morsi protesters (and reportedly the number amounted to 104) were killed in front of the Republican Guard building while they were peacefully performing dawn prayer when they were suprised by tear gas bombs followed by torrents of bullets. The prayer was around 3:45 am (i.e. when it was still dark). The Military afterwards claimed that it was the protesters who began the attack, and revealed a video recording that was obviously taken in daylight, i.e. when the protesters were responding to the treacherous attack.
