For once, the Russians are doing something constructive on Syria. This is a fair proposal that merits serious consideration. On the US side, there really are no good outcomes. Let everyone save face. This also puts the Assad regime on notice, and may help find some acceptable solution to a conflict that has claimed 1,00,000 lives, created two million refugees and caused so much human suffering.
