Ayesha ,What makes her a liar? Standing for her right? Refusing to be silenced? Giving strength to girls like her?

Malala says, "I want to become a prime minister of Pakistan and I think it is really good - because through politics I can help my whole country."

No doubt this is a laudable goal for any young woman... but she is a Muslim and she is expected to follow the words and deeds of the Islamic prophet. And what did Mohammad (pubh) say about women occupying positions of power? Read what one of the authenticated hadiths say:-
        >> When the Prophet heard that the people of the Persia had made the daughter of Khosrau their Queen/ ruler, he said, "Never will succeed such a nation as makes a woman their ruler." [Bukhari 9.88.219]

This means that either Malala is a fool or she pays lip service to Islam and hence an apostate.

An inspiration for those who are downtrodden non-Muslims. However she is an apostate from the point of view of Sharia – Islamic law. She is going against Islam and if she continues is likely to be put to death at some point when the West stops courting her.

Does it not say in the Bible "and a child shall lead them" ?

The phrase is actually a quote from the Old Testament. It comes from Isaiah 11:6, which reads:
"The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them."

As you can see right away, the text has nothing to do with a child leading adults. It states that a child shall lead the wolf, lamb, leopard, young goat, calf, lion, and fattened calf. This may seem strange if we do not continue to read a few more verses to get a better understanding of what is being discussed here. Verses 7-9 continue:
"The cow and the bear shall graze; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea."

This passage is a discussion of the Day of the Lord. This is the day that Christians look forward to when Jesus Christ will remove the curse of sin from our world and restore peace to all of creation.

It has nothing to do with Islam or Islamic vision.

For those who believe in the Bible they should also read about the blessings given to Ishmael, the father of 12 tribes of Arab nations, delivered by an Angel to Hagar, the maid of Sarah, wife of Abraham:
"This son of yours will be a wild man, as untamed as a wild donkey! He will raise his fist against everyone, and everyone will be against him. Yes, he will live in open hostility against all his relatives.” [Exodus: 16:12, Holy Bible]

It would help give context to the reason why Arabs are anti Jews and the rest of the world.

Malala, please do not let anyone exploit you. It is only a tiny minority of Muslims that have any kind of issue with education. Most will say that it is not optional but a mandatory thing we have to do to educate our girls and boys.

That's not true, all muslims does the same against these children and women. Talibanes are not a majority but the are Mslims, look Siria, Egypt,Libano, etc. When Muslims own a country they killed everything thaomt is good. W

victorlinar, your comment shows complete ignorance about Islam or Muslims. Taliban represent a perverted version of the religion, not shared by overwhelming majority of Muslims. Quran emphasizes education & compels Muslims to seek knowledge even if it means dire hardship. It never says education is for men only.
Lack of education for girls comes from ignorance & poverty in remote areas of Pakistan & other countries of the world, not just among Muslims, but also Hindus & Buddist & Christians etc.
You mention Syria, Egypt, Libya. What is happening there is POLITICAL not religious. I give you Turkey, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Malaysia etc, Muslim countries with no barriers to girls' education.

Islam's one and only prophet had a very poor view about women. This is just one among his many views taken from authentic hadiths:
      >> The prophet replied, “You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you.” [Bukhari 1.6.301]
      >> When the Prophet heard that the people of the Persia had made the daughter of Khosrau their Queen/ ruler, he said, "Never will succeed such a nation as makes a woman their ruler." [Bukhari 9.88.219]

So how can you say that Islam did not encourage women to be educated. You think that one can take leadership positions without good education?

Well, I Love The Girl-Child, but what 'They' are doing with this girl, could be more worse than what those terrorist did to Malala. The media; oh they love to make a mountain out of a mole hill, as long as it serves their interest. Oops, I don't mean to say Malala's case is a mole hill, rather, knowing there is more that meets the eye than the eye sees. Malala, get rid of the media and face your life, find your soul, and run in that direction. However, great work young lady.

I dare you to give the same amount of media "attention" to the children who were injured by drone attacks by the US.

    So much decadence
    The Girl-Child cries for help
Pains of this kind she knows not
    Her spirit is crushed
A feeling caused by darkest wickedness
    On the platform of selfishness
    Innocence is murdered
In the jaws of hell she groans
    My integrity is at stake
    My dignity is robbed
    Cries the female spirit
Into the night she sobs plenty
    And at break of day
She again looks for a hand for help
    Who will help me up
Who will make me rest in the caring arms of unconditional love
    Like a falcon eye
    She searches for a savior
    Does she find him
    She cries
    I want to live
