Russian politician Vyacheslav Nikonov was on Amanpour on Thursday to talk about unrest in eastern Ukraine.
Nikonov happens to be the grandson of Vyacheslav Molotov, who served as Soviet foreign minister for Josef Stalin during World War II. Molotov, of course, was also the namesake of the Molotov cocktail - that infamous home-made incendiary weapon.
Christiane Amanpour asked Nikonov what it's like to be Molotov's grandson.

With talks taking place on Ukraine crisis, i see significant change. Lets pray for the best.
General Molotov? Great preparation for the interview, Christianne Amanpour!
How can you Christianne do this comparison/ do the the parallel between Nazis and Russians/ Ukraine???? Sickening lady! Sickening!
By the way, Molotov Jr. has spoken in the Russian Duma insisting that it was Slavic Arians (!) who once founded the world civilization; quote: "A branch of Arians having descended from the Karpaty mountains crossed the continent in bloodless contest (? – marked by myself) and reached the Pacific bringing civilization to those remote areas".
Does it not sound at least similar to the ideas pronounced by Hitler? So the comparison seems to be valid.
Never mind being Molotov's grandson. How does he deal with being the son of a camera?
The USA and the nazis are brothers with the same objectives; seeking world dominion. Oneday somehow Russia will stop them.
FSB thug and liar. China will eat and digest Siberia soon.
Molotov is author of the infamous Molotov Ribbentrop pact . Monster.
I do love the way you have framed this concern plus it does indeed present us a lot of fodder for thought. Nevertheless, from everything that I have experienced, I just simply hope when the actual commentary stack on that people keep on issue and don't start on a soap box regarding some other news du jour. All the same, thank you for this exceptional point and while I can not go along with the idea in totality, I respect the perspective.
