By Greg Botelho, CNN

(CNN) - Iraq's prime minister said Tuesday he is happy to see the United States and its Arab allies striking ISIS targets in Syria, so long as they "do it right this time."

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi told CNN's Christiane Amanpour that Iraq has "paid a heavy price" for polarization in the region and instability in Syria, saying ISIS fighters have inflicted tremendous pain, suffering and losses on his people after crossing into Iraq. He expressed hope the airstrikes will do what U.S. President Barack Obama has vowed: degrade and destroy the group, which calls itself the Islamic State.

It's good some Arab nations have joined the American-led military campaign, al-Abadi added, though he said he wished they had understood and acted on the danger posed by ISIS sooner.

"We have warned ... this is going to end in a bloodbath if nobody stops it," he said. "Nobody was listening."

As this is Arab regional conflict, it is best that Arabs should settle it themselves. In Iraq, I think Prime Minister Al-Abadi is saying that with U.S. air cover Iraq will regain all its territory controlled by ISIS.

In Syria, U.S. airstrikes will help the Free Syrian Army to displace the ISIS. What next?

Anyway, after everything, I think it is about a government that works that is most important.

And, a people who do not sympathize or cooperate with the thing called terrorism going with that government. Or else, welcome back to square one.

It looks to me like Americans will have to live with war as part of their normal reality of life, for more time.

Along with every little thing that appears to be building throughout this particular subject matter, your perspectives tend to be rather stimulating. On the other hand, I appologize, because I can not subscribe to your whole theory, all be it exhilarating none the less. It would seem to everyone that your commentary are generally not completely validated and in fact you are your self not even completely convinced of your argument. In any case I did appreciate reading it.
